Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 13, 2026

Legacy ("the app," "we," "us") is a mobile application for managing Magic: The Gathering card collections, with an optional paid cloud service, Legacy Cloud. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

Local by default

If you do not subscribe to Legacy Cloud, your collection data — cards, lists, decks, and associated metadata — is stored only on your device. No account is required, and your collection is not uploaded to our servers.

Legacy Cloud (optional subscription)

If you subscribe to Legacy Cloud, you create an account and the following data is stored on our servers:

This data is used solely to provide the service: backup, sync across your devices, the history timeline, and the web tools at cloud.legacycollector.app. We do not sell it or share it with third parties except the service providers below.

Our servers are hosted by Supabase. Subscription purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play; we use RevenueCat to validate subscriptions. RevenueCat receives store purchase receipts — never your payment card details, which stay with Apple or Google.

Camera access

The app uses your device's camera to scan and identify Magic: The Gathering cards. Camera frames are processed on-device for card recognition. Images are not stored, uploaded, or shared.

Network requests

The app may make network requests for the following purposes:

Analytics and tracking

The app does not include third-party analytics SDKs. We do not track your usage behavior, build user profiles, or sell data to third parties.

Children's privacy

The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Legacy Cloud accounts are only offered to users old enough to hold app-store accounts and make purchases.

Data retention and deletion

Data stored on your device can be deleted at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app.

If you subscribe to Legacy Cloud, your synced data is retained on our servers so your backup and history remain available across devices and if you reinstall. Deleting cards or your whole collection in the app removes them from your current synced collection, but past states remain in your change history — that's what powers the history timeline and rollback — until the history ages out under your plan or you delete your account. You can permanently delete your account and all server-side data at any time — in the app (Settings → Legacy Cloud → Delete account), on the web at cloud.legacycollector.app, or by emailing [email protected]. See Delete Your Account for details.

After an account is deleted, we retain a minimal deletion record — an internal account identifier, a one-way hash of the email address, and the deletion date — so we can later verify that the deletion took place. It contains no collection data and no readable personal information.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and note the changes here. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
